The epilepsy center members of the National Association of Epilepsy
Centers (NAEC) are self-designated epilepsy centers expressing their
support of the Association’s mission through their membership. NAEC
is not an accrediting association and does not in any way attempt to
rate or accredit its members. In fact, there is no accrediting or
regulating entity in the United States in the area of epilepsy
healthcare. NAEC puts forth a document of recommended guidelines for
epilepsy centers and personnel that members may choose to subscribe
to.

It is the ultimate
responsibility of people with epilepsy, families and caregivers, as
consumers of healthcare to consult with qualified physicians and
organizations for answers to their personal healthcare questions. It
is the mission of NAEC to provide users with information to better
aid in that process.
